The role of HAI Proactive, Bactiguard and Essity is to bring existing technologies and learning cases developed at the Swedish healthcare and to support with addressing prevalent challenges and create efficacy for the prevention of HAI in India through their learnings and developed programs.

Vision Zero For Healthcare Associated Infections

Objective

“Vision Zero on Healthcare-Associated Infections” is an initiative to capture the learning’s of Sweden and contribute towards leading the path of substantially reduced Healthcare-associated Infections

The objectives of this platform are to reduce infections, reduce complications for patients, free up bed capacity, and lower the cost of treatment.

Healthcare-associated infection (HAI) is one of the most common adverse events in the delivery of care and a major public health problem with an impact on morbidity, mortality, and quality of life. It is a serious health hazard which also increases the length of hospital stay and the costs associated with a hospital stay.

These infections also present a significant economic burden on the health system. In India, a large percentage of HAIs are preventable through effective Infection Prevention and Control (IPC) measures and thereby reduce the need for antibiotics.

Strategy

The objectives of the programme will be reached through two areas of engagement:

To upskill current practices and policies on HAI through educational interventions based on global best practices
To develop together technology/digital tools to address prevalent challenges and create efficacy for the prevention of HAI. This platform is an out-reach tool to bring education and trainings to Indian hospitals and it also serves as a platform to pilot existing tried and tested AI platforms for pre-diagnosis, prevention and cure and care of Infections.

Platform Goals

This website includes an LMS platform that brings forth trainings that are developed and used within the Swedish hospital systems and have led to improved outcomes. The platform also includes AI solutions that could be adopted for pre-diagnosis by hospitals.

The outcome of these trainings should be able to confirm an improved efficacy for which we have measured all trainings in pre and post evaluations and provided multiple performance matrixes to ensure the improvement with the use of the training tools available on this website.

Training Efficacy

Most trainings will have a pre-evaluation & post-evaluation to be able to measure the impact of the training.

Performance Metrics

The reports measure how many times a trainee uses the system and how they develop through tht training.

Training

Vision Zero for HAI is a platform, where we share well researched educational models and global best practices. The training portal is loaded with learnings from twelve different hospitals in Sweden and large corporate firms that worked extensively in the area of infection control. Namely, BACTIGUARD and ESSITY.

The platform has self learning and trainer led courses and links to AI platforms for pre diagnosis of infections.

This platform does not stop at only trainings, it leverages the possibility of discussions beyond trainings by creatining a community where there will be monthly meetings and discussions to further discuss relevent healthcare challenges.
